While there are no "good" or "bad" shifts, your employees may undoubtedly prefer certain shifts for various reasons. Some shifts are more enjoyable for employees than others. This is taken into account via a rotating timetable. The goal is to create a timetable that allows everyone to work the shifts they enjoy and avoid as they rotate through the various shifts throughout time. (Bushnell et.al,2010)

Employees get to work with others as they move between shifts, therefore rotating shift patterns assist improve your team. They broaden their personal network by meeting new individuals and learning new skills. You won't have the experience or a chance to get a complete idea of how everything works until you've done all of the shifts. This is especially critical if you enable shift swaps; they'll almost certainly switch shifts sooner or later. It's preferable if everyone has prior familiarity with all of them.

HOW A ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULE WORKS

Employees on a rotating schedule may work the same shift on multiple days (day rotation) or may work other shifts altogether (rotation of time).Employees can better combine work and personal life if their schedule is more cyclical.(wheniwork.com,2021)
